【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoversstandardproceduresforthequantitativesensoryassessmentofperceivedolfactoryintensityofindoormalodorsforthepurposeofassessingthedeodorantefficacyofaircareproducts.Thisguideislimitedtostaticconditionsonly.1.2Itisrecognizedthat,sometimesdesirable,theuseofactual"live"malodorsisoftenimpracticalduetotheinherentvariabilityofthemalodorsources.Atruemalodorsourcemaybeusedwhenpractical.However,theuseofaformulatedodorsourcehasseveraladvantages,includingconsistencyandavailability.1.3Thereadershouldbeawareofgoodsensorypracticeswhenpreparingthetestenvironmentorsubstrate,developingandtrainingthepanel.1.4Theresearcherisresponsibleforidentifyingthemostappropriatetestdesignandusingtheappropriatestatisticaltooltoaddresstheexperimentaldesign.1.5Thisguideisacompendiumofinformationorseriesofoptionsthatdoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisguideisnotintendedtosupportclaims.Iftheresearchobjectiveisclaimrelated,thentheresearcherneedstorefertoGuideE1958.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection6andX3.6.3.7.
