【摘要】:Thistestmethodwillfindusebypartiesconcernedwiththerelativelevelofphysicalstrengthstabilityovertimeofvariousprintingandwritingpapers.Thetestwillprovidemanufacturers,paperusersandotherinterestedpartieswithrankingsofpaperstabilitythatidentifypapersthatwillbestableandthosethatwillbeunstablewhenagedundernormalconditionsofuseandhandlingovertime.Thestabilityrankingsmaybeusedfordefinitionofthestabilityofagivenprintingandwritingpapertoagingovertimewhensubjectedtoreasonableconditionsofuseandhandling.Theserankingswillnotdefinespecificperiodsoflifeexpectancy,asthelimitofmechanicalstrengthpropertyacceptabilitywillbedifferentforvarioususersofagivenpaper.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratoryprocedureforacceleratingtheagingofprintingandwritingpaperwithinsealedglasstubesthroughexposuretoelevatedtemperaturewithinanoven.1.2Thistestmethodappliestoalltypesofprintingandwritingpaperwhetheritisplainbasepaper,hasinternaladditives,iscoated,isprintedorcontainsanyvariantsofprintingandwritingpaperfoundinnormalusage.1.3Thistestmethodspecifiesthesamplepreparationandconditionsofexposurerequiredtoobtaininformationonthestabilityofpapertoagingwithregardtochangesinmechanicalstrengthpropertiesbroughtaboutbyexposureofsuchpapertoelevatedtemperature.1.4Thistestmethodprovidesthemeanstocomparethestabilityofdifferentpapersonarelativebasis,butdoesnotattempttoprojecttheexactlifeexpectancyforagivenpaper.Lifeexpectancydependsinlargepartonthelimitsofacceptabilitybeyondwhichvariouspaperpropertiesarenolongeruseful,asdefinedbyend-users.Foragivenpaper,thoselimitswillbedifferentfordifferentend-users.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovideameanstomeasureortocalculatesuchlifeexpectancy.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
