【摘要】:ThispartofBS5306specifiesrequirementsandgivesrecommendationsfortheprovisionofcarbondioxidefireextinguishingsystemsinbuildingsorindustrialplant.Thesesystemsaredesignedtoconveycarbondioxidefromacentralsourceonthepremisesasandwhenrequiredfortheextinctionoffireortheprotectionofparticularplantorpartsofthepremisesagainstpossiblefirerisk.ThispartofBS5306doesnotapplytocarbondioxideportablefireextinguishersortowheeledappliancesforconveyingcarbondioxideincontainers.NOTE1Requirementsandrecommendationsforcarbondioxideportablefireextinguishers(togetherwithportablefireextinguishersofothertypes)aregiveninBSEN3-1to-5andBS5306-3.Thisstandardgivesrequirementsandcharacteristicdataforcarbondioxide,thetypesoffiresforwhichitisarecommendedextinguishingmedium,andrequirementsandrecommendationsforthreeestablishedtypesofpipedsystemembodyingdifferentconceptsandemployingdifferentmethodsfortheapplicationofcarbondioxide,i.e.:a)thetotalfloodingsystem;b)thelocalapplicationsystem;andc)themanualhosereelsystem.Twomethodsofoperation,i.e.manualandautomatic,arealsospecified.Requirementsandrecommendationsaregivenontheselectionofasystem,onoperationalmethods,andonthedesign,maintenanceandefficientoperationofinstallations.Referenceisalsomadetothepartthatcarbondioxidesystemsplaysingeneralschemesoffireprotectionofpremises,havingregardtosafetyaswellasefficiency.NOTE2Unlessotherwisestatedinthetextallpressuresareinbargauge.1bar=10N/m=100kPa.
